Miss Bal Chana
(Chairperson)I qualified in 1992 as a Dental Therapist/Hygienist from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry formally known as The London Hospital, where I now work as Deputy Principal Hygiene/Therapy Tutor. I also work part time in a general dental practice.
As part of my role I represent BADT on a number of boards and committees. I am also a DCP Inspector for the General Dental Council inspecting DCP training courses.

Mrs Sally Reid
(Secretary)I qualified from New Cross in 1977 and worked in Chester before moving to Scotland, working for the Argyll and Clyde Health Board and getting married. Moved south with the family in 1981. I was a stay at home mum until 1992 when I started working for Berkshire H.A as an oral health facilitator. During that time I was seconded to Broadmoor Hospital carrying out clinical duties - an intersting challenge. When BADT got us into practice in 2002 I went on a back to work course at Ipswich and have worked in GDP ever since.
I was the south west rep for the BADT since 2003 but in 2009 relinquished the post to become secretary.

(ASM Co-ordinator)I am a qualified technician, hygienist and therapist and work in four Private/NHS practices as a Dental Therapist in Manchester treating adults and children. I also teach at Liverpool University - Diploma programme for Dental Therapists
Mrs Jane Rowbotham
(Education and Training Officer)Graduated from New Cross in 1975
Worked in Northampton for 2 years then moved to Anglesey North Wales. Worked for Gwynedd for 3 years.
After a 16 year break returned to dental therapy in 1997.
Worked for 3 years as a tutor at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital Sheffield, part time.
Part time dental therapist for Leeds Mental Health Trust.
2002 began tutors position at the Leeds Dental Insitute.
To date: Principal tutor of the Programme of Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at Leeds.
Working 1 day clinical for Wakefield, mornings in Wakefield Prison and afternoons treating children and adult special needs
Miss Kira Stearns
(Trade Co ordinator, Chair Elect)I qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist from Bart's and The London and have since worked in a variety of primary and secondary care clinical settings. Currently, I am involved in teaching dental hygiene and therapy undergraduates and have set up a Vocational Training Scheme for therapists in the South Central region.
I have been involved with BADT since 2003 when I took up post as a regional representative and am currently acting as the BADT trade liasion officer and Chair Elect. I am committed to the advancement of the dental therapy profession and consider it a privelege to serve as a BADT council member.

Qualified as a dual qualified Hygienist & therapist in 2003. Worked full time in NHS & Private practices. For the last year I have also been working as a tutor at leeds university 2 days a week, supporting and teaching undergraduate dental hygienists and therapists.
